On August 18, a hacker group calling itself “Cyberleek” posted two roughly one-minute gameplay clips and what appears to be the complete map of Leonida, taken from a GTA 6 development build (reported — covered by GameSpot, Engadget, and Dexerto; Rockstar has not commented).

What the leak reportedly shows

According to outlets that reviewed the material before takedowns:

• A six-star wanted level, up from five stars in GTA 5 (reported)
• A stamina bar and vehicle fuel gauges, suggesting deeper survival-adjacent mechanics (reported)
• References to a karma system tracking player choices (reported)
• A full map of Leonida, which mapping-community members say broadly matches the layout they had reconstructed from trailers (reported)

None of this is confirmed. Dev builds contain cut features routinely — fuel gauges and stamina systems have appeared in pre-release builds of games before and shipped disabled or removed.

Rockstar’s response

Rockstar has been filing takedowns across X, Reddit, and video hosts since August 18, and the material disappears quickly wherever it resurfaces (reported). This mirrors its response to the September 2022 leak, which led to a criminal conviction in the UK.
